Just concluded another editorial meeting. The current status of the book is thusly thus:
1. Pencils are underway on Adam's chapter.
2. Blake's chapter is ready for pencils, pending a final approval from Blake.
3. My editors have the current incarnations of Avery's and Henry's storyboarded chapters, but the next priority is:
4. The introduction. I am to storyboard a short piece for the beginning of the book to talk about the content, the whys, the wherefores, the whosiwhatsits. So, even as I pencil Adam, I needs must introduce.
5. Meanwhile, this summer I'll be at this little comics convention you may have heard of. Takes place in southern California. San Diego Movie Industry Spectacular with Maybe Some Comics I Guess Convention, or something like that.
6. ANYWAY.
7. I should maybe promote my book at this convention, hmm? So my plan is to put together a minicomic of one of the penciled chapters (probably Adam's, since it's the farthest along). Personally, I heart looking at other artists' pencils, and I understand there might be one or two nerds at SDCC who might also geek out over pencils, so I'm thinkin' this is a good way to get the word out and at the same time give the early adopters something special.
8. BUT.
9. To make the most of this, I really should have an actual title on there, something a little more specific than "this book I'm writing." I suck at coming up with titles. My hope is that working on the introduction will help solidify in my mind what the title should be. Meanwhile, if you have brilliant suggestions for short, pithy titles that convey endless complexity in a tiny number of potent words, you should speak of them to me. My editors suggested giving a free, signed copy of the book (or somesuch frabjuous prize) to someone should they come up with a title I actually end up using. So hey. I'm down with that. I realize it's hard to title something you haven't read, but you can at least read excerpts and bios here.
10. So. Make awesome title suggestions. Frabjuous prizes are at stake.

If you think of anything brilliant for a title, definitely pass it along. If not, I'm probably going to do some kind of giveaway for early adopters. Maybe storyboard pages or something.
